The Global Diagnostic System (GDS) is the OEM diagnostic tool used by KIA dealers. GDS provides complete diagnostic and reprogramming capabilities for all KIA vehicles, as well as a comprehensive maintenance and service information database.

With sophisticated hardware and comprehensive software features, GDS offers a complete diagnostic and service solution for every KIA vehicle. The GDS software provides comprehensive service and troubleshooting information in the form of detailed repair and maintenance instructions. Some instructions are available in English.

Program functions

Vehicle information

- Checks the production/sales information and warranty history for the selected VIN, PC should be connected to the Internet.

- Checks various reports or data information, GDS offers a search function that allows a search with DTC, Symptom, Vehicle (Model) and VIN warranty history

- Checks the vehicle's warranty expiration based on the selected VIN

Vehicle performance test

- Support standard list and test step for maintenance service.

Data analysis

- Checks "Current Data" and related information by communicating with a control module using the VCI Scan function.

DTC analysis

- Checks error codes and related information confirmed by communication between the VCI Scan Tool function and the control module.

ECU upgrade

- Automatic event selection by the vehicle and associated information support according to the procedure.

Case Analysis

- Provides maintenance cases for selected fault symptoms selected in the auto-selection function.

The software works with the Hyndai/Kia VCI interface.
