If you have a previous version installed on your computer, you don't need to uninstall or deactivate it. Simply download and install the latest version. It will update your current installation and extract the license data from it.

LM 327 INTERFACE WARNING: Please be aware that some ELM 327 interfaces manufactured in recent years have problems accessing the CAN network. This problem can be easily resolved by simply removing a resistor from the interface. The procedure is covered in the following forum topic: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE) . • To connect to your vehicle, you need an interface. Some modules connect to non-standard pins on the OBD connector, and you'll need to either modify your interface or use adapter cables. The adapter cable essentially consists of OBD sockets and connectors connected by a few wires.
  To connect using an adapter cable, simply plug your interface into the adapter cable socket and then plug the adapter plug into your vehicle.
  You can scroll down to see the full wiring diagrams for each adapter cable.
